The Coast Guard establilshed an optional Streamlined Inspection Program (SIP) to provide owners and opeators of U.S. vessels an alternative method of complying with inspecton requirements of the Coast Guard. Respondents are owners and opeators of vessels.
The change (i.e., increase) in hour burden and responses is an ADJUSTMENT due to the increase in the number of participants in the Streamlined Inspection Program. The methodology for estimating hour burden per respondent per year remains unchanged.
