The Cranes or Derricks Standard at 29 CFR 1926.550 and its information collection reqwuirements protect employees who operate, or work near, cranes or derricks. The Standard contains posting and certification requirements. These requirements ensure employees will operate crantes or derricks according to the crand/derricks limiations and specifications and that the machinery is properly functioning.
