Provides data to estimate U.S. milk production, milk cows, amounts and value of feed fed to milk cows, and production of manufactured dairy products in all States. Data are also used by USDA in milk and milk products price formulas.
The Introduction and Instructions for record keeping on the Dairy Product Prices questionnaires have been revised. This was done to inform respondents that their reports are protected from public disclosure except as directed by the Secretary of Agriculture or the Attorney General for enforcement purposes to ensure compliance with the Dairy Product Mandatory Reporting program. In addition, each person required to report information on this survey shall maintain, and make available to the Secretary on request, original contracts, agreements, receipts, and other records associated with the sale of qualified dairy products during the two-year period beginning on the date of the creation of the records.

In the previous submission the burden was accounted for non-responses but the response total for non responses was inadvertantly omitted. This submission corrects that error and shows an adjustment increase of 19,250 for the number of responses. There is no change in the burden hours.
