This information collection associated with the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) on ÂBrokers of Household Goods Transportation by Motor Vehicle" is not approved at this time. FMCSA shall examine public comment in response to the NPRM and will describe in the preamble of the final rule how the agency has maximized the practical utility of the collection and minimized the burden. In addition, FMCSA will conduct further analysis to determine what percent of the burden associated with this information collection is due directly to the new statute, and what percent of the burden is due to agency discretion.
In addition, in the future, the agency shall submit ICRs related to NPRMs to OMB for review on or before the publication of the NPRM in the Federal Register, not a month and a half after publication.
