Abstract: The Longitudinal Study of AmeriCorps is a research project that assesses the impact of participation in AmeriCorps*State and National and AmeriCorps*NCCC on members. The study assesses the long-term impact of participation on members' civic engagement, education, employment, and life skills. This seven-year follow-up of a 1999/2000 cohort will assess the longer-term attitudinal and behavioral impacts. Approximately 2,200 AmeriCorps members and 2,000 members of a matched comparison group are expected to participate.
