Abstract: The Advance Monthly Retail Trade Survey is for the purpose of collecting and tabulating early monthly estimates of retail sales. These published estimates are used widely by government and private agencies as the earliest indication of changes in retail sales at the United States level. We mail/fax this survey monthly to a sample of retail firms in the United States.
