FERC issued a NOPR RM05-31-000 in response to enactment of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPA Act 2005) (August 8, 2005). The proposed regulations are to fulfill FERC's responsibilities to implement mandatory procedures requiring prospective applicants begin FERC's pre-filing review process at least 6 months prior to filing an application for authroization to site and construct a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.
