Approved consistent with submission of CDC memo's to OMB clarifying study power and providing additional justification from existing literature for the proposed hypotheses. OMB approves the proposed study for purposes of directly assessing exposure and for exploratory analyses of preclinical health effects. Upon completion of the study CDC shall provide a report to OMB addressing data analysis and study results, and CDC shall also provide a copy of publications generated from the study.

The objective of the research is to evaluate healthcare worker exposure to antineoplastic drugs by conducting a thorough exposure assessment. In addition, preclinical health effects resulting from low level, chronic exposure to these drugs will be investigated. Information is needed to develop an exposure metric to compare with the biological measurements. Information is also needed to analyze for confounders to the biological measurements.
