The purpose of this study is to evaluate how the efficacy of water-treatment devices is affected by user behaviors such as maintenance and selection on appropriate technologies, and by variations in water chemistry. The study will focus on 100 households in Maine that have high concentrations of arsenic in their groudwater and are know to have in-home water treatment units. An initial questionnaire and follow-up questionnaire will be administered to each participating household.
