Abstract: Vessels participating in Antarctic fisheries must mark the vessel's fishing gear with official vessel identification number, Federal permit or tag number, or some other specified form of identification. The information is used for enforcement purposes. The authority for this requirement comes from the Antarctic Marine Living Resources Convention Act of 1984.
