Abstract: The regs in 7 CFR 319.56 - 319.56-8 prohibit or restrict the import of fruits and vegetables into the US from certain parts of the world to prevent the introduction and dissemination of fruits flies and other injurious plant pests and are new to or not widely distributed within and throughout the US. We are proposing to amend the regs to list a number of fruits and vegetables from certain parts of the world as eligible under specific conditions for importation into the US.
