This new information collection will provide attitude, value, and use information from southeast Alaska residents to assist Forest Service identify public concerns with management of the Tongass National Forest. The need for scientifically valid information in this topical area was identified in the recently completed Tongass Land Management Plan. Information collected will be used to inform day to day management decisions, review plan implementation, and to develop the future direction for this national forest.
