Abstract: This information collectonis necessary to conduct a through examination of patent applications, in accordance with 35 U.S.C. 131 and 37 CFR 1.16 through 1.84. An applicant must provide sufficient information to allow the USPTO to properly examine the application to determine whether it meets the requirements out- lined in the patent statues and regulations. The USPTO is submitting this collection in support of a proposed rulemaking, "changaes to Support implementation of the USPTO's 21st Century Plan" (RIN 0651-AB64) that would allow the use of electronic signatures on documents, require photographs of any exhibit....
