Abstract: This Revenue Procedure formally establishes Fast Track Mediation, a program offered by the IRS to expedite case resolution. The Small Business/Self Exmployed Compliance Division and the Office of General Appeals administer the program jointly. This represent an expansion of the taxpayer's dispute resolution options. The program allows Compliance personnel and SB/SE taxpayers an opportunity for mediation with a Appeals Officer or settlement officer (Appeals Employee) acting as a mediator, to assit the parties in resolving their disputes.
