Emission Guidelines do not apply directly to HMIWI owners or operators; however, the Emission Guidelines do require States or Tribes to develop State or Tribal plans to implement the Emission Guidelines for such States or Tribes. Respondents are owners or operators of hospital/medical/infectious waste in- cinerators (HMIWI). Information required by the NSPS in necessary to ensure that HMIWI emission are attained, and that HMIWI are properly operated and maintained.
