OSHA does not currently have data on which to base its burden estimate. Upon resubmission of this package OSHA should provide OMB with experiential data to justify the burden estimate or the estimate will go back to assuming that employers keep repair certifications for all 80 incidents.

This is a request for an extension of approval for the information collection requirement associated with the hydrostatic testing of portable fire extinguishers. Persons performing the test are required to record their name, the date of the test, and the identifier of the extinguisher testred as evidence of completing the test.
