Abstract: Fostering citizenship and development of those who participate in National Service is a central purpose of the Corporation for National and Community Service. The study will look at the effects of service on members who serve in two AmeriCorps programs: State and National and the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). Phase One baseline and Phase Two post-program data collection, already approved by OMB, were completed in March 2000 and March 2001, respectively.
