Terms of Clearance: OMB is disappointed that OSHA did not meet the previous terms of clearance for this collection. The previous terms continue to apply. This collection is approved for eighteen months to give OSHA time to promulgate Phase II of the Standards Improvement Project. OSHA plans to publish the NPRM for phase II in Sept. 2002. In addition, OSHA will revisit the burden estimate for the provision governing information provided to the physician, consistent with OMB's e-mail to DOL on 3/28/02.

Abstract: The purpose of this standard and its information collection requirements is to provide protection for employees from adverse health effects associated with occupational exposure to MDA. Employers must monitor exposure, keep employee exposures within the permissible exposure limits, provide employees with medical examinations and training, and establish and maintain employee exposure-monitoring and medical records.
