This amendment to EPA's collection for recordkeeping and periodic reporting of the production, import, recycling, destruction, transshipment, and feedstock use of ozone-depleting substances is approved on an emergency basis until September 30, 2001 in accordance with the terms of 5 CFR 1320.13. EPA should submit another ICR, following opportunity for public comment, to extend this collection beyond Septermber 2001. OMB notes that the underlying collection was approved (on March 5, 2001) until October 2003. This approval will remain in effect for the underlying collection until October 2003, unless it is revised by OMB action on an ICR -- for example, to request changes in the collection related to promulgation of a rule. OMB also notes that the March 5, 2001 terms of clearance, relating in part to compliance with GPEA remain in effect.
