Abstract: The NES 2000 survey will investigate workplace practices and policies to identify what works best in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient workforce. The survey will collect information from both employers and employees and the results will be used to evaluate the impact of various training programs and policies on certain aspects of the perfor- mances of participating firms. The survey information will help the sponsors, (NCPI, OERI and the U.S. Department of Education) and other concerned organizations to determine how our Nation's firms and schools can better cooperate to improve the ....
