Approved consistent with changes and clarifications in DOL memos of 12-27-00, 1-3-01, and 1-4-01. Since previous terms of clearance requiring a review of the burden due to question 8 were by 10-00 were not fulfilled, the expiration date is extended only until June 2002. By June 2001, OFCCP will report on the burden as described in the 1-3 memo. Also, as previously specified by OMB, the focused review letter will not require contractors to send material in to OFCCP nor will it require contractors to produce material they are not currently required to maintain. As described in the 1-3 memo, OFCCP will give contractors at least seven days noticed prior to a focused review. Finally, the issue of the definition of applicant and employer obligation to solicit race and gender information on applicants is still being discussed by OMB, DOL, and EEOC in conneciton with EEOC collection 3076-0017 (The Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures cited in this collection. Pending the resolution of these discussions, DOL may need to make changes in the burden associated with 1215-0072.
