This collection of information is required as the result of a multilateral export control agreement called the Wassenaar Arrangement on Export Controls for Conventional Arms and Dual-Use Goods and Technologies (Wassenaar Arrangement). The Wassenaar Arrangement contributes to regional and international security and stability by promoting transparency and greater responsibility in the transfers of conventional arms and dual-use goods and technologies, thus preventing destabilizing accumulations of such items.
