This exploratory study uses focus groups to gather qualitative information about tax professionals who prepare and file business returns. Through these groups, we will determine tax preparer perceptions of an experience with electronic filing and payment alternatives, identify product enhancements and develop marketing recommendations. Simultaneously, we will conduct an experiment to test the effectiveness of varying research incentive payments on focus group recruiting and participation. A total of eight focus groups in 4 cities will be conducted. Data on recruiting and participants will be used by OMB to evaluate appropriate....
