Abstract: Legislation was enacted that requires the Farm Service Agency to begin processing applications for the Livestock Indemnity Program immediately. The program will provide payments to producers with livestock losses from natural disasters that occurred between May 2, 1998, and May 20, 1999, for which a Presidential or Secretarial Declaration was requested by the same dates and subsequently approved.
