The information collection is approved under the following conditions: As agreed to by the agency, no surveying is to occur during the Census Moratorium period of March 1, 2000-June 30, 2000._ARS is to provide OMB a copy of its revised survey plan for OMB review. Only the pilots are approved. The main study is not approved. ARS is to resubmit the main study for approval following the completion of the pilots. Upon or prior to submitting the main study for approval, ARS is to report to OMB on the results of all CSFII pilots. ARS will also provide a detailed explanation of how food secuirty questions will be used, what kinds of conclusions will be able to be drawn, and why these questions are needed in addition to the information provided by the CPS. ARS will provide a detailed explanation of how the CSFII will be linked with NHANES. Staff working on CSFII and NHANES will brief OMB on these issues. Additionally, ARS will discuss the feasibility and appropriateness of including question questions on family relationships (particularly the presence of a child's biological parents in the household) in the survey.
