Abstract: Under the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, the Secretary of Commerce has the responsibility for the conservation and management of marine fishery resources. One of the steps necessary for the conservation and management of bluefish is the establishment of dealer reporting requirements to monitor the amount of this species being landed and to monitor the effect of management measures.
