Abstract: Amendment 10 to the Atlantic Surf Clam and Ocean Quahog Fishery Management Plan (FMP) provides management measures for the artisinal ocean quahog fishery off the northeast coast of Maine. It contains two information requirements. One would implement the Maine mahogany quahog permits that would exempt qualified ocean quahog vessels from certain regulations. The second is an appeals process for applicants who are denied a permit.
