These information collections are needed to meet the data collection requirements imposed by the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) and 45 CFR parts 260 through 265 for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. The information will be used to calculate participation rates required by PRWORA, provide other information for use in determining whether penalties should be imposed under PRWORA, and enable us to carry out our financial management and oversight responsibilities. The respondents for the TANF Financial Report are the 50 States and DC.
