Abstract: The Rule ensures that consumers can make informed decisions by requiring that the terms of written warranties for consumer products be made available to consumers before purchase. The Rule requires retailers to make warranty information available to consumers and requires warrantors (i.e., manufactureres) to provide retailers with materials necessary to do so. It also requires catalog and door-to-door sellers to make warranty information available.
