Abstract: Framework Adjustment 20 to the fishery management plan for the Northeast Multispecies Fishery contains the following collections of information: A change in permit categories for day and trip gillnet vessels; gear restrictions for day gillnet vessels; i.e., request for the appropriate number of net tags, reporting lost tag numbers and request for replacements, tagging gillnets, and declaring 120 days out of the gillnet fishery; a program to exempt vessels from the cod trip limit for trips south of 42 00' N. latitude; and a call-in requirement for vessels fishing north of 42 00' N. latitude to declare the hail weight of cod onboard.
