Abstract: These forms are used to collect price information for the Producer Price Index. The Producer Price Index, which is one of the Nation's leading economic indicators, is used as a measure of price movements, indicator of inflationary trends in the economy, inventory valuation measure for some organizations, and measure of purchasing power of the dollar at the primary market level.
