Owners or operators of affected sources must notify the Agency of construction/reconstruction/modification, startup, shutdowns, malfunctions, and the date and results of performance tests. Owners and operators shall record the daily production rate, hours of operation, continuously monitor NOx emissions, and submit semiannual excess emissions reports. The information is used by the Agency to identify sources subject to type standards and to insure that the best demonstrated technology is being properly applied.
