Approved; DOL addendum of 1/7/97. Upon next submission for OMB Clearance, DOL shall submit a plan for collecting/analyzing data that evaluates women in the workforce that are seeking apprenticeships and obtaining apprenticeships. Also, DOL shall submit a plan to address the recommendations contained in the February 1995 report by Westat that identifies a proposed action for improvements to the program, the necessary changes that need to be made in order to achieve the improvement and a time frame for completion. BAT agreed to update OMB on progress made by their teams and provide a copy of the program guidance memo. OMB is encouraged by the initiative BAT is taking in order to improve the apprenticeship program.
