Abstract: This is a generic collection of information that includes regulatory requirements for vessel identification under the authority of the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act to govern domestic and foreign fishing, the Altantic Tunas Convention Act, and the South Pacific Tuna Act of 1988. The regulations specify that the vessel's official identification number (or international radio call sign--IRCS--if a foreign vessel or if in the South Pacific Tuna Fisheries) be displayed in various locations and is used primarily for enforcement purposes.
