Abstract: This is a generic collection of information that includes regulatory requirements for fishing gear identification under the authority of the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act to govern domestic and foreign fishing, the Atlantic Tunas Convention Act, and the South Pacific Tuna Act of 1988. The regulations specify that fishing gear must be marked with the vessel's official identification number, Federal permit or tag number, or some other specified form of identification.
