The FCC form 1240 will be used by cable operators to file for adjustments to maximum permitted rates for regulated services to reflect external costs. The FCC form 1240 implements a new optional rate methodology where cable operators will be permitted to make annual, as opposed to quarterly, rate changes. It is a filing alternative to the FCC form 1210.
