Approved through September 1997 to allow for public comment on the information collection provisions contained in these certification regulations, and DOL's estimate of their burden, under the procedures of the new Paperwork Reduction Act. Given the burden imposed by these rules, DOL will solicit comment on ways that the information collection provisions could be revised or implemented differently to reduce burden while still achieveing the purposes of the rule. As required by the PRA, DOL will include a summary of public comments received as part of the record supporting its request for PRA clearance to OMB.
