Abstract: Title 10, USC 505, 3253, 5013, and 8253, requires that applicants must meet minimum and maximum age requirements and citizenship requiremens for enlistment in the Armed Services and the Coast Guard. If an applicant is unable to provide a birth certificate, this information, using the DD Form 372, "Request for Verification of Birth," must be obtained by requesting vertification of birth from state or local agencies.
