This collection is approved as amended by ED's revision of 5/3/95. This collection replaces the previous package which contained the Star Schools continuation application. Continuation applications will no longer be used by the Depart- ment for this program. Existing grantees have sent in continuation applications this year for their final year of funding. All new grants will not use such a process.

THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS NEEDED BY THE SECRETARY TO AWARD PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE STAR SCHOOLS PROGRAM. THE INFORMATION WILL BE REVIEWED AS PART OF A COMPETITION FOR THE AWARD OF STAR SCHOOLS FUNDS. RESPONDENTS WILL BE TELECOMMUNICATIONS PARTNERSHIPS WHICH MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: PUBLIC AGENCIES, CORPORATIONS, STATE EDUCATION AGENCIES, LOCAL EDUCATION AGENCIES, AND OTHERS.
