Abstract: Vessel captains voluntarily supply information on catches, fishing effort, sizes of fish caught and other operational and environmental information. This cost effective logbook system supplies data for monitoring of the status of Pacific albacore fished by the U.S. Summaries of the fleet's performance and is supplied annually to the fishermen.
