Abstract: VA MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTABILITY OF EXISTING PROPERTIES (38 U.S.C. 3704(A)) INCLUDE INSPECTION OF PROPERITIES PROPOSED FOR FINANCING UNDER 38 U.S.C. 3710 OR 3711 TO ASCERTAIN THE PRESENCE, IF ANY, OF WOOD DESTROYING INSECTS AND ANY RESULTANT DAMAGE. INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM EXTERMINATIONS IS USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER PROPERTIES ARE ACCEPTABLE AND THE EFFECT OF DAMAGE ON REASONABLE VALUE (38 U.S.C. 3710(B)(5)).
