Abstract: AN EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUDY WILL BE CONDUCTED TO DETERMINE WHETHER THYROID DISEASE IS INCREASED AMONG PERSONS EXPOSED AS YOUNG CHILDREN TO RADIOACTIVE IODINE RELEASED FROM THE HANFORD NUCLEAR SITE. FOLLOWING AN EXPANDED PILOT STUDY, THIS STUDY WILL COLLECT DATA ON PAST RESIDENCES, WORK, AND MEDICAL HISTORY OF PERSONS BORN DURING 1940-1946 NEAR THE HANFORD SITE.
