Terms of Clearance: This information collection is approved through 12/95 provided that FCS revise the survey to conform with all changes the Department agreed to with OMB as per revisions received by OMB on 02/09/95 and 02/02/95. Specifically, the Department must 1) reorganize and clarify the instructions and tables included in the survey; 2) allow States to aggregate staff information by function in Section III; 3) delete Section IV on computerization; and 4) revise questions in Section V.

Abstract: DATA WILL BE COLLECTED FROM 76 STATE AGENCIES RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM (NSLP) AND SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAM (SBP) AS WELL AS FOOD DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOLS. THE STUDY IS INTENDED TO MEET THE CONGRESSIONAL MANDATE TO EXAMINE "THE STATE COSTS INCURRED TO ADMINISTER THE SCHOOL PROGRAMS."
