Abstract: UNDER THE NEHEMIAH HOUSING OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM, HUD IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE GRANTS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO ENABLE THEM TO PROVIDE SECON MORTGAGES TO FAMILIES PURCHASING HOMES THAT ARE CONSTRUCTED OR SUBSTANTIALLY REHABILITATED. A LEGISLATIVE CHANGE MAKES A NEW OPTION AVAILABLE TO THE GRANTEES IN ADMINISTERING THEIR PROGRAMS.
