Abstract: DETAILED INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE INPUTS OF LOCAL EXCHANGE CARRIERS IN THE TELEPHONE COMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY IS NEEDED FOR PRODUCTIVITY STATISTICS. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED IN A MULTIFACTOR PRODUCTIVITY MEASURE FOR THE LOCAL TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION INDUSTRY. THE RESPONDENTS ARE REGIONAL BELL OPERATING COMPANIES PLUS OTHER LOCAL EXCHANGE CARRIERS.
