Abstract: THE ABATEMENT CERTIFICATE AND ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE ARE NECESSARY TO VERIFY THAT ABATEMENT OF A HAZARDOUS CONDITION HAS IN FAC OCCURRED. THE ABATEMENT DOCUMENTS WILL REDUCE THE NUMBER OF FOLLOW-UP INSPECTIONS BY OSHA'S ENFORCEMENT STAFF. OSHA HAS DETERMINED THE ECONOMIC IMPACT ON EMPLOYERS AND PRODUCT PRICES TO BE INSIGNIFICANT.
