Abstract: THE PROPOSED COLLECTION IS A HOUSEHOLD SURVEY DESIGNED TO MEASURE PERCEPTIONS RURAL RESIDENTS HAVE CONCERNING WILDLAND RECREATION ACTIVITIES AND SETTING. THE STUDY IS DESIGNED TO ASSESS THESE MEANINGS BY ETHNIC AND CULTURAL GROUP MEMBERSHIP. RESULTS FROM THE STUDY WILL B USED BY RESEARCHERS AND PLANNERS TO HELP DEFINE A MORE COMPLETE MODEL OF RECREATION DEMAND.
