Abstract: THE LACK OF NATIONALLY REPRESENTATIVE INFORMATION ON THE PROVISION OF TRAINING IN ESTABLISHMENTS IS A SERIOUS HANDICAP TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EFFECTIVE PUBLIC POLICY. BLS PROPOSES TO DEVELOP A SURVEY OF ESTABLISHMENTS TO COLLECT SUCH INFORMATION AND WILL REPORT ON THE PROVISION OF TRAINING BY INDUSTRY AND SIZE OF ESTABLISHMENT.
