Abstract: THE CURRENT POPULATION SURVEY IS A HOUSEHOLD SAMPLE SURVEY THAT IS THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF DATA ON THE GROWTH OF THE LABOR FORCE AND ON TRENDS IN EMPLOYMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT. THE OVERLAP SAMPLE WILL BENCHMARK DIFFERENCES IN LABOR FORCES ESTIMATES BETWEEN THE CURRENT SYSTEM AND THE PROPOSED SYSTEM.
