Abstract: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA RESOURCES MANAGERS HAVE EXTREMELY LIMITED INFORMATION ABOUT VISITORS TO THEIR WILDERNESS AREAS. STUDIES CONDUCT IN OTHER SITES ARE NOT SUITABLE DUE TO THE SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS OF VISITORS TO URBAN PROXIMATE WILDERNESS AREAS. VISITORS TO WILDERNE AREAS AND VOLUNTEER WORKERS IN THOSE SAME AREAS WILL BE QUERIED REGARDING A NUMBER OF ISSUES. RESULTS WILL BE PROVIDED TO FOREST
